上海太阳岛高尔夫俱乐部是大上海地区第一座三十六洞球场，是由美国国际高尔夫球场名家Nelson, Wright & Haworth共同创意设计。老十八洞的球场在绿意盎然、波光掩隐之中，洞洞沿湖，具有强烈的挑战性！新十八洞全新闪亮登场，全程电瓶车服务，让尊贵的您更多选择！更多轻松！整个球场结合中国庭院的造景和建造于唐朝的古灯塔，在打球之余，视觉更为心旷神怡。

太阳岛还建有30个击球位的练习场，以满足球客需要，是挥杆族挥洒豪情的战场。自1995年7月开打以来，已成为远近驰名的国际球场，也成为各国政界名流、社会菁英人士的户外办公室。更由于完善的球场管理、整体突出，被指定为1998年的富豪杯中国公开赛（'98 VOLVO CHINA OPEN)和其他赛事的主办赛场。
